Back for year #3!!

While you'll definitely find the usual Fire Cider staples like apple cider vinegar and raw garlic, this seasonal concoction is full of ingredients specific to the Autumnal time of year! Here are some of the benefits our Autumn Fire Cider has to offer:

Antioxidants: rosehips, elderberries and cranberries lend some SERIOUS antioxidant strength to this drink. This helps keep the immune system functioning properly to fight off any sickness or infection.

Allergy-fighting: stinging nettle is a natural antihistamine and has been shown to be highly effective at combating symptoms caused by hay fever and other seasonal allergies.

Vitamins A, B, C, E, and K: stinging nettle, rosehips, and cranberries provide the bulk of these vitamins in this recipe.

Decongestant: hyssop has been used throughout history (mentioned in the Bible) for suppressing coughs, clearing phlegm and lung congestion, and opening stuffy sinuses. It also stimulates digestion and fights parasites in the body.

Fiber: beets are a rich source of fiber which encourages gut health (essential for overall health). They are also rich in nitrates which help to open up blood vessels and increase blood circulation.

Because this recipe doesn't include things like horseradish, onion, or hot peppers, it is generally a little more palatable. If you've tried our Amy's Fire Cider recipe and it's just a little too much for you, we encourage you to give this one a try!

Also makes a FANTASTIC salad dressing!

Happy Fall :)
