Poppies get a bad reputation, but not all of them are dangerous. In fact, the cousin to the opium poppy is so gentle it can be used on children! This variety is called Eschscholzia californica, otherwise known as the California poppy! It has a rich history with the indigenous peoples on the west coast, and has long been used to alleviate all kinds of pain, from toothaches to arthritis. This widely used herb contains antimicrobial and anti-viral properties, which make it useful for external ailments by fighting infection while providing mild pain relief. When ingested as a tea, it is known to calm the nerves and bring peace and deep rest. Our Poppy Pain Relief Salve capitalizes on the California poppy's external benefits, as well as the pain relieving properties of cayenne pepper and white willow bark! No harsh chemicals or pain pills - just natural ingredients doing what they do best.
DIRECTIONS: Rub on minor cuts and wounds, as well as areas with joint or muscle pain.
