In 2001 a study was conducted by an Iowa State University research group that discovered nepetalactone (found in catnip) was TEN TIMES as effective as one of the leading commercial bug repellents (that rhymes with 'meet')!
That's why catnip extract makes up the majority of our repellent, but we didn't stop there!
You'll also find witch hazel, cedarwood, eucalyptus, lavender, rosemary, lemongrass and lemon essential oils that smell great to us but, for a bug, it's their worst nightmare.
