Gowpin' Headache Relief
“Gowpin’” is Scottish slang for “very sore” and if you’ve ever had a headache then you would probably consider that a good word to describe how it feels!
Unfortunately, you can’t fit a dark room and a good nap in your pocket to take with you anywhere you go, but you CAN fit our Gowpin' Headache Balm or Nasal Inhaler!
There is a lot of research supporting the effectiveness that peppermint essential oil has on relieving tension type headaches, and several other common headache types as well. It works by inhibiting muscle contractions in the head and neck while promoting blood flow at the same time. It also contains romarinic acid which is an anti-inflammatory.
Along with peppermint, we also included:
Lavender EO: anti-inflammatory, has been shown to reduce pain and frequency of migraines, relaxing and comforting scent
Frankincense EO: known to reduce stress and nervous tension, has a calming and grounding effect when inhaled, can relieve cramps and muscle aches
Roman Chamomile EO: known as the “flower of tranquility,” antispasmodic (relieves muscle tension and spasms), cooling pain reliever
DIRECTIONS:
(Balm) - Rub on temples, neck, behind ears, or wrists
(Nasal Inhaler) - Inhale gently and deeply into each nostril. Repeat as desired.
(Roll-On) - Use the roller on pulse points, specifically the temples, wrists, and behind the ears. Massage for a few seconds to push the oils deep into your skin.
